- The Port forms part of the Vision Industrial Park development
- Located at Mile 16, about 20 km north of Swakopmund
Concept
- Single breakwater
- Prevailing natural forces (currents and wind) from south-west (unidirectional)
- Dedicated to import and export of bulk commodities
- Facilities to accommodate 2 berths (dry and liquid terminal)
- Phase 1 draught approximately -12 m (breakwater at -14m)
- Phase 2 draught approximately -14 m (breakwater at -16m)
- Expected to handle 5-10 million tons of volume per year
